Ahmad Darudi received a BS degree in physics from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, in 1993 and master's and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) Zanjan, Iran, in 1996 and 2001, respectively. Following his Ph.D. work, he joined the University of Zanjan, Iran. He was a researcher between 2009-2011 at Lund Observatory, Sweden. He is currently associate professor at the physics department, the University of Zanjan.
He has experience in optical interferometry, optical testing, wavefront sensing, Hyperspectral imaging, and optical design. The most favorable projects that he has impacts are collaboration at the Site selection project of the Iranian National Observatory (INO), system manager of the Earthshine telescope at Lund University, and optical designer and system engineer of the INO340 telescope.
