Abstract
A modern and efficient non-destructive testing method - active infrared thermography is analysed in the paper. This method can be used for detection of defects (e.g. hidden bubbles and cracks) and inhomogenities inside materials and various objects. Goal of the presented research is theoretical evaluation of the performance of the pulse active thermography, numeric modelling of heat propagation in complex non-homogeneous environment by Finite Element Method and experimental validation of theoretical results.
