The hydrofoil is a structure that makes use of the pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces to make the payload move fast and float on the water surface. For the stability of the hydrofoil in water, a two-dimensional model of the hydrofoil with A18 and NACA-66 as examples was established, and a rotating dynamic grid was drawn. k model and 2-DOF model were used for simulation with fluent. The simulation results show that the two types of hydrofoil will gradually unstable after a period of time, A18 instability is caused by the uneven distribution of high pressure on the lower surface, NACA-66 instability is caused by the moment generated by the high pressure area of the leading edge.
