The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of presence of glucose and glycation of hemoglobin on
refractive index and absorbance of aqueous hemoglobin solutions with different glucose concentrations. It is shown
that the changes of refractive index caused by glycation of hemoglobin may be observed using refractive index
measurements.
