Abstract
We describe an aperture-coded hybrid (optical-digital) imaging system to achieve super-resolution for an a priori known class of binary objects. This super-resolution is achieved by aligning the singular functions of a paraxial imaging gathering module and the eigenfunctions of the covariance matrix of this class of binary objects. This work and particularly its potential extension to high numerical aperture vectorial imaging are of interest to optical data storage imaging applications.
