Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate spatial-frequency at threshold and supra-threshold levels in both normal and open-angle glaucomatous observers. It has been shown that for grating, stimuli contrast detection depends on spatial frequency, level of illumination and condition of the observer, variables which are analyzed by using psychometric functions of contrast in four different spatial frequencies - 6, 7, 9 and 18 cycles per degree - and with photopic and mesopic luminance equal to 15 and 5 cad/m2, respectively. The analysis allows for the study for the circumstances and ranges in which contrast perception exhibits a linear exponent.
