Abstract
An integral system of virtual instruments that allows the characterization by optical methods of particle system in suspension, starting form study and processing of signals obtained by means of appropriate sensor in a minimum experimental configuration, is presented. The system is made up of several modules of virtual instruments, for observation and measuring, calibration, analysis of signals, and analysis of particles, which allow operations like acquisition of signals and calibration, control of temperature, measuring of frequency and speed, as well as the study and analysis of signals and characterization of systems of particles in suspension by means of parameters like the mass, the sedimentation sped, the mean radius of the particles, their density and size distribution.
