When studying the crack extension of dams in use, the first problem is how to pave optical fiber. In this paper, a new kind of adhesive we developed and associated researches are introduced. The tests showed that the adhesive we have developed could meet the needs of crack monitoring on dams using OTDR monitoring technique.
