Abstract
Digital photogrammetry allows the simultaneous use of multiple (more than two) overlapping images. Multiple image matching techniques improve the reliability and the precision of digital point determination. This paper reports on the development of a method for multiple feature matching and its application on the automatic point transfer in the aerial triangulation. The determination of corresponding points is modeled as a graph-theoretical problem. To solve this problem a special search algorithm was developed based on the methods of binary programming. Furthermore, a strategy was developed for the fully automatic use of the method in the digital point transfer. Operational aspects and empirical results of the practical use in conventional aerial triangulation with digitized photographs and data of three-line CCD camera are represented.
