Abstract
In view of the long power supply radius in Guangzhou and the low voltage problem caused by the grid connection of distributed small hydropower stations, this paper studies the influence of three-phase line regulators connected in different ways on the fault zero sequence current, and takes the 10 kV Liangkou F4 line as an example to analyze the voltage distribution along the line of regulators connected in different ways under the two operation models of high- water period with light load and low-water period with heavy load. The results show that under the Y connection mode, the zero-sequence impedance of line single-phase fault is very large, and small zero sequence current value is difficult to trigger the zero-sequence protection of substation; The zero-sequence current of line fault current can flow normally under the triangle connection mode, and the zero-sequence protection operates normally. On the other hand, for the typical long power supply lines in Guangzhou, the voltage regulators of the two connection modes can effectively improve the voltage distribution of the long lines, regardless of the wet season, light load operation mode, or dry season, heavy load operation mode, and the closed triangular connection mode has a stronger voltage regulation capability of the Y connection mode. Through comprehensive comparison of the voltage regulating capacity of the two connection modes and their influence on fault zero sequence current protection, it is considered that the closed triangle connection mode is more suitable for the 10 kV long line distribution network in Guangzhou.
