Abstract
Taking a pair of gear pairs of an aeroengine gearbox as the research object, the tooth surface equation of the tooth tip modification of the cylindrical gear and the calculation formula of the tooth tip modification amount combined with the finite element method were derived to carry out the modification design of the gear. The thermoelastic coupling finite element model of the gear pair before and after modification was established respectively. Through the stress analysis and comparison, the maximum equivalent stress and contact stress of the gear pair after modification were significantly reduced, which improved the load bearing condition of the gear meshing process, and has certain reference value for the stress optimization of other gear meshing process.
