Abstract

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a unique medical system with thousands of years of history, which has been applied in various areas for diagnosing and curing diverse diseases. Though play an essential and multifarious role as TCM can in human health, it is solely defined as an alternative medical technique because of the unique medical system including; basic theory, diagnosis methods and therapy methods. Artificial Intelligence (AI), a computational embodied human intelligence, has greatly improved and made tremendous progress in various fields, which is named the force of the fourth scientific and technical revolution. After decades of study, AI technology has combined with TCM in some aspects, and achieved several valuable results. However, most results are only appropriate for special situations and databases, which cannot be used in the clinic. Thus, this article will analyze the reason why the current results of AI-assisted TCM cannot be used in clinics and state a new AI-assisted TCM diagnosis and treatment system
