The high- speed jet of aluminum plasma is a calibrated source of impact in the Active Geophysical Rocket Experiment (AGRE) in the upper atmosphere. In the considered problem of jet injection, the gas dynamic parameters and the ionic composition of the plasma were determined. It was shown that in a rapidly expanding jet, a violation of thermodynamic equilibrium occurs, leading to the "freezing" of the ionic composition. During AGRE, the plasma of the jet interacts with the ionosphere and the geomagnetic field.
