Abstract
The article provides an assessment of the influence of the rate of growth of surface air temperature on the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It is indicated that an increase in air temperature stimulates the active supply of carbon dioxide from natural sources. This process is implemented according to the positive feedback mechanism, which can stimulate the transition of the Earth's climatic system to a qualitatively new state. The assessment was carried out by statistical methods using the apparatus of variance analysis. The contribution of the rise in temperatures to the additional emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is estimated at 19%. Fisher's test was used to assess the statistical significance. The contribution turned out to be statistically significant. The assessment of the contribution of carbon dioxide to the growth of the near-surface air temperature was 87% with a correlation coefficient between these values of 0.911 ± 0.03.
