Abstract
Watertight electrical connector at full-ocean depth is an important part of submersible and its watertight performance is the prerequisite to ensure its normal operation. Watertight electrical connector at full-ocean depth was developed and tested through laboratory tests and sea trials. The connector was tested under 127 MPa circulating water pressure, the insulation resistance is larger than 1000 MΩ, and the contact resistance is about 4 mΩ. The sea trial of the connector with the "Fendouzhe" manned submersible by using a testing equipment has been completed up to 10900.4 meters, showing that it meets the application at full-ocean depth.
